What's better than watching your favorite TV show from your own couch? How about having one of the characters from your favorite show surprise you at your doorstep while you're watching? When "America's Dad" aka Milo Ventimiglia spotted a fan watching This Is Us while filming, there was no other choice but to seize the opportunity to make a fan's day. Because that's what we're here for, right?

Strategy and Execution

The This Is Us cast has won the hearts of fans all over the world through their incredible performances and magnetic personalities. By understanding our fan's connection to these characters, we've shifted our focus to capturing organic, relatable moments on set via a dedicated Social Producer. Through thinking like a fan, we were able to identify this event as an opportunity to connect with our followers both online and off to create a surreal experience for our community.

Results

Immediately upon sharing, the video was floured with positive comments from followers showing their gratitude towards the fun-loving cast and crew. Fans weren't the only ones to fall in love - media outlets like TODAY, EW, CNN, and E! to name a few, all picked up the video. The video received 3M views across platforms and reached 7.5M fans on Facebook alone. It also gave fans one more reason to tune into This Is Us.
