Objectives

WomanCare Global is a global nonprofit committed to meeting the vast unmet demand for family planning. The video series, "If You Don't Tell Them, Then Who Will?" is part of a coordinated campaign to educate women and girls about different stages of reproductive life. Lack of education and social stigmas have led to confusion and uncertainty about contraception and reproductive health. As a result, millions of women each year are making uninformed decisions about their own bodies. The nominated video uses eye-opening humor to encourage women to talk more openly about their bodies and destroy taboos around women's health.

Strategy and Execution

"Vaginas are powerful and it's time we talk about them," said Jessica Biel. The best way to encourage women to get educated and start the conversation around our bodies is to make it comically clear that non-experts, like Jessica, Whitney Cummings and Joy Bryant should not be the source for this information. The video series has a "no topic is off limits" approach to women's health and includes Jessica, Whitney and Joy sharing hilariously intimate details about their sex lives and birth control.

Results

The videos were seen by millions on NBC's Today Show, ABC's Good Morning America, the syndicated talk show "The Doctors" as well as running on Funny or Die. They also garnered coverage and views on numerous media sites including NYTimes.com, Forbes.com, Cosmpolitan.com, Adweek, ETOnline, Refinery29, Bustle, Glamour.com, Huffington Post, CNN.com and Elle.com
