Objectives

Seeking to increase engagement and capitalize on the show's hotel theme, FX teamed created a series personalized check-in assets, and Do Not Disturb cards to distribute to fans directly on AHS social platforms.

Strategy and Execution

The AHS: Hotel setting was ripe for exploration on social media. In an effort to bring fans closer to the show's disturbing setting, FX created a series of personalized check-in and do not disturb graphics. These graphics were then sent out the day the episode. While the Do not disturb graphics were posted as a reminder for users to tune in, our check-in graphics were delivered via direct @replys on Twitter. In addition to a design that reflected each episode's theme, check-in cards were inscribed with a username and sent to the respective twitter handle, inviting fans to join the guests of The Hotel Cortez.

Results

Altogether, FX created and distributed a total of 624 personalized check-in cards, and 12 Do Not Disturb graphics. The response was overwhelming with 22,236,648 total impressions, and more than 900,000 engagements on Twitter.
