Make Your Grand WrestleMania 32 Entrance in 360°

Entered in 360 Video

Objectives

WWE's digital channels have long been experimenting with 360° technology with numerous unique videos posted to our YouTube and Facebook channels in recent years.

With this video, our goal was to make the dream of many WWE fans a reality — experience what it's like to walk down the aisle at WrestleMania in front of more than 100,000 screaming fans without having to leave the couch.

Strategy and Execution

The key to this project was incorporating 360° technology into a WrestleMania entrance in an organic way that would not distract from the spectacle of the biggest sports-entertainment event of the year.

Luckily for WWE, the persona of WWE Superstar Tyler Breeze is that of a narcissistic male model who always carries a selfie stick to the ring with him in order to capture snaps of his own visage.

WWE's crew replaced Breeze's iPhone on the selfie stick with a 360° camera, and captured the epic scene of WrestleMania 32 as the Superstar walked out in front of more than 100,000 fans in AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas for the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Breeze may have lost the match, but hundreds of thousands of were able to virtually experience the walkout of a WWE star.

Results

"Make your grand WrestleMania 32 entrance in 360°" was uploaded to WWE's YouTube and Facebook channels two days after the events of WrestleMania 32.

It received more than 389,000 views on YouTube, and more than 353,000 views on the official Facebook page of Tyler Breeze.
