Bobbie believes in supporting American parents beyond feeding alone. Through Bobbie for Change, the brand’s impact and policy arm, the company has spent years championing legislation that improves maternal health outcomes, advocates for paid family and medical leave, and creates a more equitable future for modern families.
In January 2026, Bobbie for Change set out to turn their advocacy efforts into a true community moment. Rather than treating lobbying as something that happens behind closed doors, the campaign brought 25 influential parents, nonprofit leaders, and advocates to Capitol Hill to meet directly with bipartisan lawmakers in support of the Momnibus Act and federal paid family and medical leave.
The effort transformed awareness into action. Through “The B Stands for Bobbie” campaign, Bobbie collected more than 1,000 stories from parents about childbirth, postpartum, and the need for federal paid leave, and delivered those stories directly to members of Congress during their lobby day. Together with long-standing nonprofit partners including 4Kira4Moms, BirthFUND, and Paid Leave for All, the campaign demonstrated how private companies can help shape policy.
Ultimately, the goal was not simply to advocate for legislation, but to redefine the role brands play in advancing systemic change for families.
Bobbie has always stood for more than powdered milk. Since 2023, Bobbie for Change, the impact and policy arm of Bobbie, has worked arm-in-arm alongside nonprofit leaders, policymakers, and American families to advance maternal health, paid family leave, and feeding equity. In 2026, Bobbie sought to evolve that work by making advocacy itself more transparent and community-driven.
The campaign brought together an unprecedented coalition of organizations and parents with a platform around a shared legislative agenda. In partnership with 4Kira4Moms, BirthFUND, Paid Leave for All, and media partner Spread The Jelly, Bobbie for Change convened 25 influential parents and nonprofit leaders in Washington, D.C. Together, they conducted 22 bipartisan meetings with members of Congress and their staff to advocate for the reintroduction of the Momnibus Act, a set of 14 bills that together would work to eradicate maternal mortality and support the passing of federal paid family and medical leave.
Rather than relying solely on corporate messaging, the campaign centered on lived experience. Through “The B Stands for Bobbie” initiative, parents from across the country submitted more than 1,000 stories about childbirth, postpartum recovery, and the realities of raising children without adequate support, including paid leave. Those stories were hand-delivered to lawmakers during the lobby day, ensuring policy conversations were grounded in the voice of the families most affected.
At the same time, Bobbie challenged the traditional model of corporate advocacy by documenting the process through Paint The Hill Green, a documentary-style social series that gave parents an inside look at Capitol Hill. This pulled back the curtain on what lobbying actually looks like: coalition building, meetings with lawmakers including staffers in congressional hallways, and families sharing their stories directly with elected officials. By pairing authentic storytelling with legislative action, the campaign transformed advocacy from an opaque process into one that parents could understand, engage with, and ultimately see themselves participating in.
Rather than treating advocacy as a one-day event, the effort reflected Bobbie for Change’s long-term model: building trusted partnerships with nonprofits and lawmakers on both sides of the aisle, elevating nonprofit leadership, mobilizing Bobbie’s community voices, and using Bobbie’s platform to help move policy forward.
The campaign demonstrated how a purpose-driven brand can help bridge the gap between community voice and public policy.
Bobbie for Change brought 25 influential parents, nonprofit leaders, and advocates to Capitol Hill for 22 bipartisan meetings with lawmakers, amplifying support for the reintroduction of the Momnibus Act and federal paid family and medical leave. More than 1,000 stories submitted by parents through “The B Stands for Bobbie” campaign were hand-delivered directly to Congress, ensuring lived experiences informed legislative conversations.
The campaign also expanded public understanding of advocacy through Paint The Hill Green, making the legislative process visible to hundreds of thousands of parents who had never before seen what policy advocacy looks like from the inside. The documentary series transformed traditionally closed-door lobbying into accessible, social-first storytelling that encouraged conversation around maternal health, paid leave, and civic engagement.
Beyond awareness, the effort reinforced Bobbie for Change's broader model of sustained advocacy: convening cross-sector partners, elevating nonprofit expertise, and demonstrating how businesses can contribute meaningfully to long-term systems change. The campaign helped build momentum around two of the most pressing issues facing American families while redefining the role a modern consumer brand can play in advancing public policy. Notably, a few months after these meetings, the Momnibus was reintroduced and is now part of Bobbie for Change’s ongoing sustained advocacy efforts once again to get it passed.
