HealthFund Solutions was growing and making a meaningful difference in people’s lives, but too many people still did not know the organization existed or understand the kind of help it could provide.
The objective of Stories of Strength was to change that through the voices of people who had experienced that impact firsthand.
The film centers on individuals facing cancer, where the stakes of losing or lacking coverage became immediate. Treatment was available, but paying for it threatened savings, a home, a child’s education and, ultimately, access to care itself.
Rather than explain HealthFund through insurance terminology or a list of services, we wanted audiences to understand what that assistance can mean at a human level: being able to continue treatment, regain a sense of security and have someone help navigate an overwhelming situation.
These stories became the emotional foundation of a broader awareness campaign designed to introduce HealthFund to patients, healthcare partners and communities who may not realize this type of support exists.
The goal was simple: make the name HealthFund Solutions more recognizable by making the impact behind that name impossible to forget.
We developed Stories of Strength from the ground up as an awareness campaign built around real stories, not corporate messaging.
Our first step was fully understanding HealthFund Solutions, the people it serves and the challenge of explaining a service that can feel complicated on paper but is profoundly simple in practice: helping people find a path forward when healthcare coverage becomes a barrier to treatment.
We worked closely with HealthFund to identify clients willing to share their experiences and developed the creative direction, interview structure and questions around those stories. The conversations covered cancer diagnoses, gaps in coverage, rapidly mounting financial pressure and the fear that treatment might no longer be possible. One participant described discovering that their insurance excluded cancer after treatment had already begun. Another was navigating stage 4 prostate cancer while watching personal funds disappear. HealthFund’s involvement changed what came next, helping them secure coverage and continue care.
Because the subject matter was deeply personal, authenticity was essential. These could not feel like polished testimonials written around brand talking points. We created space for each person to tell their story naturally, allowing the interviews to unfold with honesty and emotion. Our role was to guide the conversation, identify the strongest moments and build a structure around what had actually happened.
That same care carried into the visual strategy.
The available location was a standard conference room inside HealthFund’s office. Rather than accept a corporate environment, we completely transformed it. We designed and pre-built a warm living-room set around HealthFund’s brand palette, selecting furniture, textures, practical lighting and set details that would create a more personal atmosphere. Cinematic lighting and carefully planned compositions helped the space feel intimate, comfortable and elevated while still remaining true to the brand.
The production was managed end to end by Vibrant, including creative development, pre-production, interview planning, production design, set construction/props, video production, photography and post-production. Keeping the project under one creative direction allowed the campaign to remain consistent from the first concept through final delivery.
Photography was also a key part of the strategy. We captured a complementary library of portraits and campaign imagery alongside the films so HealthFund could extend the same visual language across social media, websites, presentations, partner outreach and future marketing. The goal was to create a full campaign toolkit, not a single-use hero video.
In post-production, we shaped the individual experiences into a broader story about strength, access and support while preserving what made each story personal. We paid close attention to pacing, music, performance and emotional progression so the final piece could be moving without feeling manipulated.
Every decision, from the first interview question to rebuilding the room around the participants, served one purpose: helping audiences understand HealthFund not through a list of services, but through what becomes possible when someone receives that help.
Stories of Strength met the core objectives of the campaign: humanize HealthFund Solutions, increase awareness of the organization and give audiences a more immediate understanding of the impact its work can have on people’s lives.
The client response has been extremely positive. HealthFund was fully satisfied with the campaign and has since engaged us to expand it further. What began as a targeted rollout is now growing into a broader outreach effort, with additional cutdowns, supporting content and more storytelling built around the experiences of the people HealthFund has helped.
That continued investment is one of the strongest indicators of success for our team. The campaign did more than deliver a single emotional film. It gave HealthFund a creative platform they can continue building on as awareness grows.
The work has also given the organization a more human way to communicate with patients, healthcare partners and broader audiences. Instead of leading with services or insurance terminology, HealthFund can now lead with real people, real outcomes and the emotional impact behind the work.
That was the goal from the beginning, and the continued rollout has reinforced that the approach is working.
For us, the success of Stories of Strength is not just in the finished piece. It is in the fact that the client is now expanding the campaign because the stories are resonating, the content is useful across multiple channels, and the human impact is becoming a central part of how HealthFund introduces itself to the world.
