Objective

Bobby Flay’s competition skills are legendary and as host of Bobby’s Triple Threat, he has handpicked a trio of top-notch chefs to represent as the next generation of culinary titans. New York chef and restaurateur Ayesha Nurdjaja is the newest titan, joining Michael Voltaggio and Brooke Williamson to take on highly skilled competitors in three head-to-head cooking rounds with surprise featured ingredients for a chance to win $25,000. In this digital companion series, fans are given a front row seat as each Titan showcases dishes based on ingredients Bobby features in episode challenges. 

Strategy

Playing off the linear series, the strategy of the Bobby’s Triple Threat companion series is to give viewers a glimpse at the culinary craftsmanship that Ayesha, Michael and Brooke bring to the table against their competitors. These videos allow a slowed-down look at the chefs’ approach to the unique ingredients they must work with in the show, and to inspire and encourage fans to try different recipes at home as demonstrated by their favorite chefs. With each video showcasing a different recipe, this content sparks social engagement with curated instructional cooking content as well as driving fans to tune in each week.

Results

Four seasons in, Bobby’s Triple Threat continues to resonate with fans, supported and bolstered by its digital companion series. The most recent ten-episode run delivered the series’ highest-rated season ever, reaching more than 10.5M P2+ cross-platform viewers.
