Objectives

You haven't even left for work yet, and you've already used more water than some villagers in rural India use in 8 weeks. In 2018, Cape Town, South Africa was dangerously close to becoming the world's first city to run out of H2O. Completely. Why should you care? What if we told you that, in just over 30 years, there's a good chance that you won't have the luxury of a morning shower either?

 In this short documentary we presented the problem and offered concrete solutions. At the heart of its mission Waste-Ed aims to inspire direct action. From changing our diets to the way we consume energy - there’s a lot more we can do than just keeping our showers short.


 

Strategy and Execution

Strategy and implementation for Waste-Ed (read: Waste Education) involves creating and distributing video content that raises awareness and acts as a call to action to save our planet. 

With a weekly reach of 2 million Facebook users, more than 125K Page likes and more than 140K followers, we create content that inspires change by highlighting the Earth’s crisis condition and offering concrete solutions.


 

Results

Waste-Ed’s top performing video has a reach of over 42 million. We have a loyal, returning following, a global community of engaged activists and sustainability-minded people who share our content and act upon it. Our water crisis doc got 35K views in one month.
