Energy and water are essential resources for addressing basic human needs such as food production and sustainable development, yet an estimated 1.3 billion people lack access to electricity, and about 800 million people get their water from sources that have not been treated or are considered too polluted for consumption. Water is a finite resource; there is only so much potable water to go around, and over the next 30 years, demands upon our limited water supply are expected to increase dramatically.
Finn Partners worked with Elsevier to explore the issue during World Water Week August 31 to September 5, 2014, starting with the development of a WWW infographic.
Putting such an important issue into a quick but comprehensive medium was important for Elsevier. Finn Partners helped develop the infographic by working with experts and educators at Elsevier.
