Behind Bellagio - The Fountains

Objective

This three-part social media video series provided audiences with a behind the scenes look at one of Las Vegas’ most iconic spectacles; The Fountains of Bellagio. 

The project was created to entertain, inform, and instill a deeper appreciation for the talented people, remarkable technologies and dedicated sustainability efforts that make the legendary water feature the marvel that it is.  

From showcasing the project’s early development, to highlighting expert dive teams, this series reveals the hidden worlds behind, below and above the surface of Bellagio’s desert oasis.  

Strategy

The Bellagio Fountains are a beloved Las Vegas attraction, with a highly devoted audience who is always asking to know more. We listened.  

Grand expansive visuals, including dynamic underwater cinematography were used to showcase the true vastness and scale of the fountains, revealing a hidden aquatic world to visitors and fans like never before.  

To not lose visual perspective on primarily vertical social platforms such as Instagram, specially designed rotating graphics were utilized to allow the piece to be enjoyed in a landscape format.  

The calculated sound design was crafted to seamlessly and powerfully immerse the viewer in the story, while consistent editing tactics were developed to ensure an immediately recognizable continuity between all three parts of the series.  

The importance of diversity, inclusion, equity and sustainability were at the forefront of the series as it was narrated by an international woman of color, adhered to numerous ADA compliances, such as closed captioning, and provided links and resources to learn more about MGM Resort’s dedication to sustainable water conservation.  

 

Results

"Behind the Fountains" provided an exclusive look at a Las Vegas staple, ultimately resulting in an extremely successful launch to our "Behind Bellagio" video series and paved the way for future additions. The content garnered an impressive reach of 1.06M, 214.08K video views and 8.54K engagements emphasizing the viewers' active participation and interest in the series.
