Objective

After a 10-year hiatus, “Futurama” returned to Hulu in July of 2023 for its 11th season. The beloved animated Sci-Fi series, which follows the misadventures of a slacker who accidentally cryogenically freezes himself and ends up 1,000 years in the future, helped blaze the trail for the success of adult animation.

New viewers will be able to pick up the iconic series from here, while long-time fans will recognize payoffs to decades-long mysteries – including developments in the epic love story of Fry and Leela, the mysterious contents of Nibbler’s litter box, the secret history of evil Robot Santa, and the whereabouts of Kif and Amy’s tadpoles. Meanwhile, the story will explore more modern topics, like a new pandemic, the future of vaccines, bitcoin, cancel culture, manscaping and streaming TV.

With the relaunch of “Futurama,” Hulu Originals’ mission was to drum up awareness and drive tune-in for the long-awaited revival while also continuing to further establish Hulu as the premiere destination for fans of adult animation.
