Tulsa King: Episodics in Real Life

Objective

Are there more fans of Sylvester Stallone than there are of Tulsa, Oklahoma? Possibly. To test the theory and bring the beauty of Tulsa off of the set and into the lives of our fans, we paired physical photographs from the show’s on-set locations with their respective city coordinates in a mixed-media carousel.

Strategy

By combining physical photographs from the series with the real-life iconic hot spots, the mixed-media "Episodics In Real Life" social campaign came together in one thumb-stopping carousel. Printed images of Dwight Manfredi, played by Sylvester Stallone, were taken to their respective locations in Tulsa, Oklahoma many months after wrap. These photos were positioned and carefully framed to fit like puzzle pieces in the beautiful city. These thumb-stopped images struck a chord with fans, causing double-takes and boosting engagement. The mixed-media "Episodics IRL" social campaign came together on  X, Instagram and Facebook, taking viewers right into Tulsa, Oklahoma without having to leave their phone screens.

Results

The Episodics in Real Life promotion garnered 191k impressions with a total of 171k accounts reached.
