We believe that comedy is a powerful force for good. Our goal is to use comedy to open minds and hearts, and to educate and inform our audience in a relatable, thought-provoking way. Our new series Boomer Stoop addresses topics that are important to Gen Z and particularly Gen Z women, touching on complicated topics like therapy, pronouns, and sexuality in a fun, accessible, and smart way.
Boomer Stoop uses puppets and songs to directly address problematic thinking and discourse in our country, including many issues that speak to women and/or the LGBTQ+ community. In the Pronouns Episode, we specifically addressed the importance of respecting people by using their preferred pronouns. As noted in the song, it’s basic human empathy.
The series is designed particularly for a TikTok and Instagram audience, and we have seen high engagement particularly amongst Gen Z and Millennials.
This content went live during Pride Month as part of Comedy Central’s larger commitment as allies for the LGBTQ+ community
