Objectives

Create high energy influencer content sharing real skin stories from a diverse mix of creators within a medically regulated environment that strives to educate consumers on frequently asked skincare questions. 

Strategy and Execution

#YourSkinMedicaMethod was born out of consumer need and interest surrounding the unknowns of when and how to use clinically proven, professional grade skincare. Allowing skincare enthusiasts and well known content creators to share and educate on the how-to’s was a natural fit for the campaign. Our strategy included casting the SkinMedica® Skin Society to bring a powerful and consistent message to our customers and brand fans. Casting with diversity in skin types and concerns in mind allowed our story headlines to be more relatable to people with skin - which includes us all! 

We leveraged ongoing long term partnerships with @joeyzauaig, @michellemoney, @camillacolbro, @diklagoren and @annevrichards as product educators and let their results after a few months of using the full SkinMedica line speak for themselves. Our team leaned into new influencer marketing and were able to introduce new audiences to the brand and product. These audiences were targeted with a high interest in like minded categories similar to lifestyle/beauty. 

We nurtured those audiences through storytelling creating a greater product efficacy story. We navigated the waters of regulatory parameters and medical claims to ensure our content aligned with medical regulations and were fair and balanced to our audience.

Results

As leaders in professional grade skincare, SkinMedica® was able to launch a strong educational campaign #YourSkinmedicaMethod which broke barriers and gave brand fans a better understanding of a complete skincare regimen tailored to their individual needs. 

Smarty Social Media sparked a consecutive reach of 4.9 million, generated over 200 pieces of content, over $55,000 in sales on Skinmedica.com all while maintaining an engagement rates above industry benchmarks.
