The Rundown on Snapchat delivers the most relevant celebrity news stories to our audience in a unique and entertaining way. It tells the story beneath the headlines in a fast-paced, snack-sized format. In our celebrity interview segments, we strive to show celebrity guests in a way that our audience hasn’t seen before. Our host makes every piece of news topical and pulls back the curtain on Hollywood, allowing the audience to feel like friends rather than fans, giving them a unique point of view worth coming back to three times per week.
The Rundown’s motto is “All the pop culture you can fit in your phone screen.” The vertical video format engages viewers – allowing the audience to feel as though they’re listening to their super-informed best friend rather than a talking head. The content is energetic and engaging, incorporating quick cuts and motion graphics. The show also embraces the language of internet culture (including memes and GIFs). Due to the changing landscape of entertainment, as in-studio celebrity interviews are not as common since the pandemic, we’ve pivoted to focusing on bringing a large production value to events that typically have less media. With this strategy, we became the main outlet at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival with stars recognizing Erin Lim on carpets and therefore bringing higher energy and became the only outlet at Revolve Festival during Coachella. Additionally, we’ve faced the challenges of the news landscape changing with more individual creators on TikTok and therefore created franchises such as dating history deep dives and pop girlie check-ins to stay relevant and provide the content people are looking for with even more research, creativity, and production value.
We have built a viewership of over 8 million dedicated subscribers. We’ve successfully and confidently spread the E! News brand to the Snapchat audience and continue to do so. Throughout 2024, we also teamed up with State Farm for a year’s worth of branded integrations. We’ve successfully launched multiple in-show franchises including Pop Girlie Check-In, What the Kardashians Missed on the Kardashians, etc.
