Objective

The ‘Get to Know’ series aimed to enhance viewer engagement and content discovery on MAX by leveraging the power of authentic, interpersonal connections between talent. Recognizing the vast library of content and the challenge of choice for viewers, we focused on creating engaging, behind-the-scenes content that highlighted the relationships between actors and creators. Specific goals included producing long-form YouTube videos and repurposing that content into short-form formats for TikTok and Reels to maximize reach and engagement.

Strategy

With over 2000 movies and 1300 shows totaling over 35,000 hours, MAX can be a bit daunting when it comes to choosing what you want to watch. If you know the people you’re watching, and more importantly, ensuring that they know each other creates a deeper connection between the audience and the talent. It also gives way to fun moments that seem to create genuine zeitgeist moments. I mean, who can forget “a Negroni Sbagliato With Prosecco.” Capturing these candid moments with talent who work together gives way to fun behind-the-scenes stories, personal anecdotes, and even fun facts.

 

Results

When presented as long-form YouTube videos resulting in 10M views on that platform alone, when broken up across TikTok and Reels formats; it has driven a staggering 700M+ engagements across both platforms.
