Out of a desirous rebellion in art school to create “something really, really ugly,” graphic designer and social media producer Cat Frazier turned to the GeoCities graphic styles of her youth for inspiration, creating blazingly tacky 3D text GIFs. Employing tacky imagery with often crass or dark humor, earned her 105K+ Instagram followers and an enormously mistaken assumption that she’s a straight, white male. Now taking to social to rebel against her "presumed neutrality,” the black, openly-gay, female designer with 40K+ Twitter followers continually shows that personal empowerment can be found in spinning serifs.
