Toys"R"Us was looking for a new way to tell the origin story of Geoffrey The Giraffe. It was something that wouldn't have been possible the "old way" of doing things. So, Toys”R”Us Studios and Native Foreign teamed up to create the first text-to-video branded AI film.
1.4 Billion impressions and counting, our viral piece reached the entire globe, has inspired conversations about the future of advertising, and paved the way for others to start using generative AI for brand work.
Native Foreign AI Labs put together the first brand film created with Sora, OpenAI’s text-to-video generative AI technology. The piece is essentially a case study in bringing the origin story of Toys”R”Us to life in a new way: Geoffrey the Giraffe came to Charles Lazarus in a dream. That dream was visualized with AI tools in a way that wouldn’t have been possible before.
The result is a viral film that hit 100 on Google Trending and earned 1.4 Billion impressions with 0 ad spend.
