American Horror Story's community on social has always been incredibly engaged. Over the past six years fans of AHS have created countless tributes through fan art, video, and more. FX sought to reward these fans by selecting certain pieces of fan art and enhancing each piece with effects, animation, coloring, and more. These pieces of art were then released through the official AHS channels, giving official recognition to our talented fans worldwide.
In an effort to give fans an official place to share their AHS artwork, FX encouraged followers on social to submit their fan art to the AHS Tumblr page. Once submitted to the Tumblr page, FX combed through hundreds of submissions to identify pieces that could be elevated through the use of motion effects, alternate coloring, and more. Once the piece was completed, FX published the enhanced artwork on all AHS social platforms with an attribution to the artist.
The "Enhanced Fan Art" campaign was an astounding success, driving nearly 3 million impressions of the finished pieces across social. The campaign was also successful beyond the numbers. Each piece was highly celebrated among the AHS fanbase, and led to a stronger bond between fans and their favorite show.
