When it comes to demo videos, the market certainly wasn't clamoring for another one. It's awash in whiteboard demos. Filled to the brim with dull, sterile videos pontificating product benefits. Which is the perfect recipe for audiences to tune out or just ignore. So we had to do something different. Something that would be born social and break through the sea of sameness.
We needed to get enterprise-level IT decision makers amped up about Hewlett Packard's Propel, which is a one-stop IT shop that lets you get the technology and support you need in one click. The usual mind-numbingly boring B-to-B tech videos weren't going to cut it. And social feeds are cluttered. So we needed to create something that would stand out and make 'em fall out of their chairs in unbridled amazement if we wanted to get people taking about Propel. So we made a demo video like no other. Ever.
Even though the video wasn't promoted with media dollars, it's quickly become one of the most watched HP Software videos in the last year. In fact, it's already had more than triple the views of the average HP Software video! In other words, YABOOM! And this video was created with a teeny tiny target in mind, so clearly it's being shared well beyond. Why? Because it's relatable, friendly, and (call us crazy) actually fun to watch.
