Indiana Fever

Entered in Brand Awareness Campaign

Objective

We set ambitious goals in 2024 – after leading the WNBA in social engagement and video views in 2023 – we knew were setup to have an incredible season, but it was hard to put a number on what that could look like – Could we get to 500 million video views, a number only a few professional sports teams could reach? 750 million? By establishing a great base in 2023, we had the chance to make history with the addition of Caitlin Clark, and we took advantage.

Strategy

Our campaign for the 2024 season was #FeverRising – and it fit the year perfectly – gaining 1.7 million followers and becoming the most followed team on social in the WNBA. We created and shared more content than any other sports team in North America during our six-month season. We took advantage of every opportunity with high-quality & consistent content strategy that included behind-the-scenes looks into the locker room and practice, highlights, interviews, personality-driven content & more.

Results

No brand grew more and accomplished more in 2024 than the Indiana Fever. With the addition of Caitlin Clark, a rising star with an incredible fanbase, the Fever captured the hearts of fans and set new standards for digital engagement and brand growth.

The WNBA was named the fastest growing brand by Boardroom in 2024, the first time a sports league had been No. 1 on the list, and the Indiana Fever played a critical role in that growth. The Fever were featured in the top 16 most watched games in the WNBA in 2024, they accounted for more engagement and consumption on social than the rest of the league combined, set records for viewership, ticket sales, merchandise sales & more.

The social numbers were astounding - 79 million engagements & 1.3 billion video views.

We had more engagements and video views than the rest of the WNBA teams combined. The 1.3B video views were more than any team in the NFL, NBA, MLB & NHL The 79 million engagements were 7th most among all teams in North America.

The Indiana Fever took over in 2024 – It truly was #FeverRising.
