Objective

Create social-first content that drives engagement with creative professionals by building on the aesthetically pleasing and oddly satisfying visuals that resonate with Photoshop’s audience.

Strategy

Let this video scratch your brain. 

In making content for Photoshop, we were aware their fandom generally seeks out long-form YouTube videos for their tutorials, so if we wanted to show the product in use, we had to find a hook beyond “how to.” This video takes inspiration from viral cleaning videos and applies it to removing animals’ spots. The result appeases some basic human curiosity—what would a giraffe look like without spots?—paired with an unmistakable Photoshop use case. 

Our audience was energized to see the way Photoshop tools allow you to explore various patterns without losing textures like fur. The result is an uncanny but entrancing menagerie of animals unlike you’ve ever seen.

 

Results

The results? We tapped into that deeply, oddly satisfying feeling for our audience, sparking comments like “Found this so satisfying” and “This was so satisfying to watch.”
