The Creative County Initiative presents an opportunity to mobilize our region's artists, arts organizations and community and business leaders to collectively enhance the quality of life in Essex County. Our vision is to increase the visibility and impact of the transformative power of arts and culture.
A countywide arts and culture plan will connect our 34 cities and towns through our shared values and heritage, improving the quality of life in Essex County. This plan will "map" our region's arts and cultural assets, create a vision for cultural tourism and connect our coastal, city and rural communities through arts and culture. A cultural plan will leverage these assets into measurable economic impact.
The Creative County Initiative centers around artists, arts organizations and community and business leaders. The video created was designed with a dual purpose, to show the power art has in communities as well as to be played during the first annual Arts & Culture Summit to provide an overview of the initiative. As the launch of The Creative County Initiative is still in process the video is a key element in awareness of this new cause and an informative tool of the impact this will have on life in all of Essex County.
